Assault Alert – Marcy C.F.

While returning inmate to cell in RMHU from program area as officer was removing mechanical restraints from inmate, inmate attempted to grab officer by wrist through the cell hatch opening. Other officers restrained inmates hands to prevent him from grabbing officer while officer maintained control of waist chain that was still attached to restraints. Inmate dropped to his knees inside the cell and the chain tightened around officers left hand. Force was required to get chain away from inmate grasp and and officer was able to release grip from chain. Inmate pulled mechanical restraints into cell.  Officer was seen at outside hospital
