Assault Alert – Sullivan C.F.

Inmates restraints were removed after being escorted from visiting room at which time inmate lunged at Officer grabbing his torso attempting to take him to the ground.  Force and pepper spray were used to gain compliance.  While assisting inmate to his feet he attempted to spit on staff, spit mask was authorized.  Inmate was escorted off the unit to medical and upon waiting for nurse for decontamination the inmate lunged again at Officer, body holds were used to gain compliance.  Inmate again tried to spit on staff, spit mask was put back on.  Officers were seen at outside hospital.
