Three Separate Inmate Attacks Injures Staff
Marcy, NY – Three separate inmate attacks on staff injured seven officers at the medium security correctional facility, sending one officer to a local hospital for treatment of two lacerations after an inmate bit him twice.
The first attack occurred on Sunday, April 21. An inmate refused an officer’s orders to secure his recreation pen door. He refused repeated orders from staff to secure the door and made statements to staff about hurting himself. FULL PRESS RELEASE
