Assault Alert- Sing Sing CF

Inmate was escorted from visiting room after being observed as receiving contraband from a visitor.  While en-route to the pat frisk area the inmate reached towards his pants pocket in attempt to grab the contraband from the pocket.  The inmate turned to his right and with his right elbow struck the Officer to the bottom of right eye.  Body holds were used to gain compliance with the combative inmate, mechanical restraints were applied to the inmate’s wrists at which time he became compliant.  Officers were seen at outside medical and returned to work.
