CO was conducting a pat frisk of I/M before going out to KL recreation. During the pat frisk the I/M became agitated and non-compliant. After being given several direct orders from the CO. the I/M came off the wall and reached for his back left pants pocket. CO observed an unknown object fall out of the I/M’s pocket and unto the floor. CO attempted to recover the object from the floor when the I/M grabbed the CO by his uniform and shoved the CO into the wall. CO activated his PAS while given the I/M a direct order to let go of him, the I/M refused and threw the CO to the floor. While on the floor the CO struggled violently with the I/M. The I/M punched the CO several times to the upper torso. CO was able to get the I/M into a bear hug body hold until additional staff arrived. Responding CO arrived and witnessed the struggle on the floor. The I/M was given multiple direct orders to cease all of which he ignored. CO used several applications of OC to gain compliance of a combative I/M.
