Assault Alert – Downstate CF

Sergeant responded to a 4 I/M fight in the draft area. He observed the I/M’s striking each other about the face and body with closed fists. Multiple direct orders were given to cease. The four I/M’s continued to fight ignoring the commands to stop.  CO’s were able to gain control of three of the I/M’s utilizing body holds and applying mechanical restraints. CO grabbed the final I/M and attempted to use body holds to gain compliance with direct orders . The I/M continued to attempt to strike the other I/M’s. The I/M and CO fell to the ground. I/M then struck the CO on the left side of her face with a closed fist. While still struggling with the I/M the CO was able to gain control of the I/M’s wrists and apply mechanical restraints. Once the mechanical restraints were applied all force ceased as all I/M’s had become compliant.
