On 8-4-18 a response was called to the school Building. An Officer heard a commotion in the Rastafarian callout and looked through the window of the Chapel Annex and witnessed several unidentified I/M’s fighting. The responding Sergeant ordered staff to pat frisk and do a face and hand check for any injuries. All I/M’s were also scanned by cell sense. CO while pat frisking one of the I/M’s found a copy of a newspaper article that was a bout a staff member at the facility. The area Sergeant was attempting to ask the I/M questions about the news clipping when the I/M became agitated and came off the wall from his pat frisk position and punched the sergeant in the left side of the face. CO’s used force in the form of body holds and strikes as one of the officers ended up under the I/M who was striking that officer. Once the I/M became compliant with staff direction, mechanical restraints were applied and all force ceased.
