On Monday April 04, 2019 at 2300 Hours, a Safety & Security Officer while responding to an Psychiatric Emergency for a combative/ aggressive, and threating outpatient with several SSO’s was kicked in the center of his chest by the outpatient.
Outpatient/resident was physically restrained by several SSO’s, and placed in temporary restraints by the officers. Several other officers sustained some degree of injuries during the restraint, and received medical attention at the facility.
Safety & Security officer 1 who was kicked in the chest, was transported to local hospital for medical attention. The Outpatient/Resident was transported to local hospital for psychiatric evaluation by Emergency medical Services paramedics along with two SSO escorts for safety reasons. No further incident.
