Officer attempted to counsel an inmate in the housing unit B-S-6. The I/M struck the CO in the chest with his left shoulder and raised his right hand in an attempt to strike the officer. Utilizing body holds the officer and the I/M fell to the ground where the I/M then bit the officer in the left forearm. The officer sustained left knee pain and pain on his left forearm at the site of the bite. Officer remained on duty.
