On December 17 at 1:40 PM a red alert was called by CO to Bldg. 2 between corridor F&G. CO was escorting I/M from PSU to H-Block after he was discharged from a special watch. Once the I/M left PSU on the escort, he became very problematic and was talking loudly in the hallway. He kept removing his hands from his pockets. CO gave the I/M a direct order to keep his hands in his pockets and to stop talking in the hallway. He continued to remove his hands from his pockets. The I/M turned toward the CO and stated ” the next time I take my hands out of my pocket, I’m going to slap the shit out of you”. The I/M then stepped toward the CO and punched him in the left side of his head. The CO applied OC spray. The desired effect did not work and the I/M swung at the CO again and punched him in the face. Several responding Officers applied multiple applications to a violent, struggling non-compliant I/M. He was placed in a bear hug type hold by one of the Officers and with assistance from another responding Officer they were able to bring the I/M to the ground and apply mechanical restraints ending the incident.
