Assault Alert – Green Haven CF

Upon returning from chow, I/M refused to return to his cell on the third deck despite being given several direct orders by the CO. The I/M continued refusing direct orders while demanding to speak to another CO. The CO then ordered the I/M to submit to a pat frisk but the I/M refused. At this point CO was walking down the stairs toward the first deck. When I/M observed the CO walking down the stairs he rushed towards him and struck him closed fist causing the CO to fall down the stairwell. Another CO responded by placing the I/M in a body hold and bringing him to the floor. While on the floor the I/M refused any order to place his hands behind his back and become compliant. At this time responding CO used one application of OC Pepper Spray. The I/M became compliant at this point. Responding CO applied mechanical restraints to the I/M ‘s wrist and the I/M was escorted to the Secure Housing Unit.
