An Officer was in the rec room of E2 when an I/M became angry with said officer over his assigned work detail. I/m then became argumentative with officer. There were several I/m in the rec room who stopped to take notice of the situation. The officer gave the I/M a direct order to step out of the rec room area onto the porch of E2. The I/M while still being argumentative complied. When the officer gave the I/M a direct order to put his hands on the wall the I/M refused and turned sharply striking the officer in the chest with his elbow , knocking the officer to the ground. The officer while on the ground activated her PAS. The first officer on the scene witnessed the I/M standing over the officer on the ground and applied one application of OC spray to the I/M’s head and face. The officer who was on the ground stood up and grabbed the I/M with a body hold. Both officers forced the I/M to the ground and applied mechanical restraints.
