CO was working the yard gate conducting random pat frisks on I/M’s entering the yard. CO ordered I/M to submit to pat frisk. I/M refused. CO gave a second order and the I/M turned and struck the CO in the left eye with a closed fist. Another in the area responded when he saw the I/M strike the other officer. I/M struck the other officer in the left eye, cheek area with a closed fist. Another CO ordered the I/M to stop throwing blows which he refused. CO used body holds in an attempt to subdue the I/M. All three staff, using body holds, forced the I/M to the ground. Once on the ground the I/M became compliant and was placed in mechanical restraints. All three staff were treated at the facility and remained on duty.
