NYSCOPBA held its 14th annual Charitable Golf Outing on Sept 8th at Fairways Golf Course. This year’s proceeds went to the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation. The Correctional Peace Officers Foundation (CPOF) is a national, non-profit charitable organization created in 1984. Its primary function is to preserve and support the surviving families of correctional officers who lose their lives in pursuit of their chosen profession of protecting the public from those remanded to correctional custody and supervision in the nation’s prisons and jails. We would like to thank the generous support from the members who participated as well as our sponsor’s; Bill Wasserbach – Norvest Financial Services, Stash Wojeski – AFLAC, Keith Jacques –  Lippes Mathias LLP, Peter Gregory – RBC, Dave Yule – Leyden & Yule, Alex Dell – Law Firm of Alex Dell PLLC, NYS Troopers PBA and Amy Bennett – JCB/Halo. This year’s tournament raised over $24,000 to assist the CPOF in their vital mission in assisting our brothers and sisters who walk the toughest beat in law enforcement.
