This memo is an update of the memo I sent you on June 17th regarding NYU Langone Health Hospitals’ participation in the Empire Plan.
The last update indicated that if an agreement wasn’t reached between this hospital group and BlueCross/BlueShield, the hospitals would be removed from the participating network effective September 1st. An agreement has not been reached; however, negotiations are continuing and the termination date has been extended to November 1st.
