Eight Officers Injured In Attacks By Inmates Under the Influence of Alleged Drugs

Collins , NY – A sergeant and seven officers sustained minor injuries in four separate incidents at the medium security correctional facility in the past two months, continuing the surge of violence in state prisons.

The latest incident occurred last Saturday. An officer conducting routine rounds entered one of the facility dorms when he observed several inmates acting strangely. When he entered the dorm, he approached an inmate who appeared to be intoxicated and was acting out.  FULL PRESS RELEASE
