Inmate Who Was Released Yesterday Charged With Felony Assault

Malone, NY – An inmate, who was released from state prison yesterday, was arrested upon his release and charged with Assault 2nd and two counts of Attempted Assault 2nd in connection with an attack on staff on Thursday, October 12 at the maximum-security correctional facility.

Jaleel Hill, 32, was arrested yesterday morning after being released from the facility after reaching his mandatory release date after he was sentenced in New York County in 2016 for Assault 1st. Initially, Inmate Hill was being escorted to a program at the facility on October 12. Before the escort, staff were conducting a pat frisk of the inmate.  FULL PRESS RELEASE
