Nine Officers Injured, One Sustains  Broken Nose

Romulus, NY – Nine officers were injured during seven incidents over a two and a half week period which included multiple assaults on staff by inmates who have served numerous prison stints at the maximum security correctional facility.

On Friday, September 27, one officer sustained an injury to his chest when an inmate struck the officer after attacking another inmate inside a cell. Initially the inmate, who is served two previous stints in prison, was being escorted to a new cell.   FULL PRESS RELEASE
